The modern disease HIV has not decreased and it could carry on multiplying as the number of people who have the infection, and have not been diagnosed, has trebled in the last 10 years. Recent figures reveal that around 80,000 people have the infection HIV and over one third of these remain undiagnosed. HIV is of course not the only STD that is on the increase, others like Chlamydia as well as syphilis are reported to be on the increase also.

With all STD’s it is important to find out quickly if you have been infected, because the sooner you are treated the less likely it is that associated problems with the infection will occur. Many of these problems can lead to serious illness or even death if they remain untreated. Also with HIV if this is diagnosed early, there is less chance that the individual will pass the virus on to others. There are many centres in towns throughout the country that will check for the HIV infection, London is one of the main testing centres where it is simple, confidential and quick to know if you are suffering form HIV or another STD.

If you get checked quite often and dont sleep around surely you’d be alot safer.
