If you are a man and you are aged over 50 years of age then it almost a certainty that your cholesterol count will be higher than either that of a woman or a 20 year old, these are biological facts.

Cholesterol is the formation of fat or waxy like substances in the lipids or fats in the bloodstream and in all your body’s cells and is divided into two types LDL which is the bad or problem one and HDL which is the one we require or good cholesterol. High levels of LDL cholesterol can lead to serious problems including strokes and heart attacks and is one of the main causes of these problems in men.

Medication has been developed which can reduce the levels of bad cholesterol, whilst at the same time increasing the amount of HDL good cholesterol. Astra Zeneca’s product Crestor is used in the treatment of high cholesterol and men over the age of 50 are now able to buy Crestor online which can dramatically reduce their cholesterol levels. To get the most benefit from Crestor it is recommended to keep a diet low in saturated fats and to exercise regularly.
